Oak Grove Lutheran School students open their presentation of “Big Fish” on March 8 in the Scheels Center for the Performing Arts. The production runs for seven shows over two weekends, including Sunday matinees.
Shows are scheduled at the following times:
- March 8 and 9 at 7 p.m.;
- March 10 at 2 p.m.;
- March 14-16 at 7 p.m.; and
- March 17 at 2 p.m.
The musical is based on Daniel Wallace’s 1998 novel and the 2003 film directed by Tim Burton. The story follows traveling salesman Edward Bloom through his adventures, his marriage and his relationship with his son. It includes the message about people living on through their stories.
Jeff Whiting, a choreographer for the Broadway production, worked with Oak Grove students in February during a Fargo visit.
